Distribution Business: Ahmadullah
Vision
Rebuilding the family's only path to stability
Ahmadullah's distribution business is more than a source of daily income — it is his family's only pathway back to financial stability. Operating through a motorcycle-based supply model, he built a reliable network of local shopkeepers by consistently delivering essential household goods such as soap, diapers, and stationery. Over time, he established trust, repeat demand, and steady daily earnings.
However, a sudden shift by suppliers to cash-only payments disrupted this progress, forcing him to stop operations entirely. With no alternative income, his family has been left vulnerable. With prior experience, established relationships, and a proven ability to generate consistent income, Ahmadullah is well-positioned to restart and grow. A timely injection of capital will allow him to rebuild his business, restore stability for his family, and strengthen the flow of essential goods within his local community.
The Challenge
Shut out by cash-only terms
Ahmadullah faces a critical disruption in his business model due to external supplier constraints. The shift from credit-based purchasing to cash-only terms has eliminated his ability to access inventory, despite having an established customer base and proven demand. Without working capital, he has been forced to halt operations completely.
This loss of income has left his household financially exposed, with no alternative earnings to rely on. Additionally, maintaining relationships with local shopkeepers depends on consistent supply — prolonged inactivity risks weakening these connections and losing market position. While the business itself remains viable, the lack of upfront capital has created a barrier to restarting and sustaining operations.
The Impact
Momentum already underway
With access to capital, Ahmadullah will be able to immediately resume his distribution activities, restoring a steady income stream for his family. The loan will enable him to rebuild inventory cycles, strengthen supplier relationships through cash transactions, and re-establish his presence in the local market.
Beyond individual impact, his work supports small retailers by ensuring consistent access to essential household goods. This contributes to more stable local commerce and improved availability of everyday necessities within the community.
Early progress is already visible — Ahmadullah has made an initial repayment of 2,500 AFN and begun purchasing inventory, demonstrating strong commitment and positive momentum toward full recovery and sustainable growth.
This initiative is being supported in collaboration with Revive Afghanistan, whose on-ground presence helps ensure responsible lending, monitoring, and meaningful community impact.
